What's Missing in the Iraq Debate: Peggy Noonan argues that both sides are ignoring the crux of the issue. And she's right. Democrats are playing politics, and the only Democrat to step out of line, Al Gore, has no credibility with the party whatsoever. They're stuck playing, "Me too, me too." But the questions for the administration are important too. I'm glad to see that the argument of Mutually Assured Deterrence is being profligated finally (see Ron Paul below for the first instance I've seen). Of course, once more info comes to light on this Turkish seizure of uranium, those who doubt the possibility of Saddam-Al Qaeda may be eating crow. Just a hunch.
