Greg Packer Strikes Again! What a maroon. For those unfamiliar with the Greg Packer story, it started with an Ann Coulter piece exposing him as being quoted in 100 New York Times articles. Then he got his own AP report (via WaPo). Now he's back again, in the Bergen Record. You think papers might, um, avoid this guy?
"Hey, want to talk with a guy going to both games?" blurted Greg Packer of Huntington, N.Y.
Yes, some fans like Packer, 39, were so thrilled to be a part of Saturday's day-night double dip, they sought us out. Parker [sic] saw a reporter walking with his note pad prior to the afternoon game and introduced himself.
It's a good thing he did. He's the only non-affiliated fan we met Saturday. Packer likes both the Mets and Yankees. Heck, he just likes New York baseball. So Packer wore his Subway Series hat with each team's logo on it and a plain white T-shirt with an American flag in the pocket area.
"I grew up a sports fan," Packer said. "Right now, this is the House that Ruth Built, so I've got to root for the Yankees. Tonight, I'll root for the Mets."
Not only is he a nut, he's too wussy to pick a team. Well, screw you, Greg Packer. Screw. You.
