Is this cruel or funny?: Beg, Borrow, and Deal tonight. The episode involved a head-to-head challenge with help from Jay Williams. The first segment with him involved his help in a game of PIG and in a free throw shooting contest. Nothing harmful. However, the next scene was odd. They show Jay talking to Charles (a former Duke football player) above getting a ride. Jay's on his motorcycle, helmetless. Williams was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in June (from some clues in the show, it appears filming was done in late April). He also says, in a captioned comment, "I'm not really supposed to have this thing." On one hand, the unintentional comedy is apparent in the irony, and it appears the editors probably threw in the scene for just that reason (it's very short and not essential to the plot). On the other hand, it's cruel to Jay, who's seriously hurt.

I laughed at the time, but I knew it was mean. I can't decide how I feel or how I should feel about the whole thing.

Theme? We don't need no stinkin' theme!
