Art of Segue: I have discussed the California recall on this blog...not at all. Read Michael Lewis's take, and that's about how I feel.

Segue! Michael Lewis....Moneyball...The Oakland A's...lose! Terrence Long shows what he would have done in Game One if given the chance. .245/.293/.385, people. If Long isn't out of Oakland by spring training, Billy Beane may have lost some of the luster on that "genius" tag. Other takes: Bill Simmons. Elephants in Oakland.

For the record, I'm quite confident about the ALCS. Wakefield in Game One? Lowe, pitching for the FIFTH time in two weeks in Game Two? I'm predicting this one. Yankees in 5. Versus Marlins in 7, just to secure the doomed quotient of these playoffs. And for the record, you don't send J.T. Snow there. Of course, that's Felipe Alou's fault for not having a pinch-runner available (say, Eric Young?).

Theme? We don't need no stinkin' theme!
