DNC Thoughts II: The Clintons impress. Especially Hillary, who laid out more policy proposals than I would have figured, and probably took a little longer than she was supposed to. It's a great positioning move by her, with a decent national address.

And then, Bill. Everyone loves Bill. He pulls out all the stops, exposes his personal weaknesses (hat tip: Russert on NBC), and brings the crowd into it. And then HE'S the atack dog. I guess it makes sense, as he's got no political aspirations (I didn't see Gore, but apparently he didn't as much). Good speech, great by any standard other than the Clintonian one.

Theme? We don't need no stinkin' theme!
