If it's April, it must be protest season:

First, it's Wednesday's AUCR "Carnivore Initiative", versus David Benzaquen's anti-baby-seal-clubbing petition drive. I'd heard about the first before, and the second only after the fact. If it's on purpose, I get the point (and hearing about some of David's other ideas, kinda valid), but it still makes the AUCRs seem kind of tasteless.

Then Thursday. Running to my 9:55, I see a bunch of flags, and a banner stating that they represent abortion victims. It's really impressive execution. By 2:00, the AU pro-choice coalition is out in full force with a counter-protest. Welcome to American University.

Freshman Day's tomorrow. Let's see if a group pulls something for then.
