Happy Wednesday, no cleverness here:

I hate cable news. Avoid it at all costs. So, of course, yesterday, at the DMV, the only thing showing while you wait is CNN. Mickey Kaus has done a good job chronicling CNN's moves since the hiring of Jonathan Klein late last year with his people-based reporting. And, I've gotta say, it's bad. The stories in the afternoon hours are local-news fodder, including one that I actually SAW a teaser for on the local news.

Elite 1250 tracking: This site does a good job of explaining the history of DC license plates, including the Elite 1250. As a weird feature here, I'm going to track the Elite 1250 plates that I see around town.

612: Tuesday, Connecticut Ave, near Albemarle St.
203: Tuesday, Albemarle St. and 40th St.

Unfortunately, in doing this, readers will probably gain a good idea of the general area in which I live. Oh well.

On the Beach with Dave Chappelle: A Time exclusive, and some good reporting.

Kitten Cannon. Gruesome, yet amusing.

See you again on Friday!
