A New Chapter:
I don't like to talk about myself much, but indulge me here, dear readers.
I graduated from college on Sunday. (And in the true tradition of this blog, didn't bother to post about it until Wednesday night.) I've enjoyed the last four years, including the last two plus tapping away on this blog. When I began, blogging was seen as a fad, now it's taken over as a major form of media, to the point that Slate now does a daily blog recap. I haven't participated in that movement at all, but I've watched it, and I've been a blog triumphalist the whole way. The blogosphere has moved in ways I couldn't have predicted when I pledged to "try not to be" boring on September 18, 2002.
I started small back in the Fall of '02, trying to ape the rest of the blogosphere at that point and go political. Didn't work so much. There was also much Survivor-blogging, and then just the random.
I'd keep linking to the archives, but that's just pointless. There's not much more there that didn't continue the trend. Less politics, more random, lots of AU Basketball, and my finest work on this blog to date, The Joe Millionaire analysis series. I wish I was kidding.
So, where do we go from here? The real world beckons me, but I don't blog about me on a usual basis. Just not comfortable with it. Maybe I'll turn this into a sports and pop culture blog, like the world needs another one of those. Maybe one of these years I'll get on a daily schedule.
