Apologies:
Sorry for the lack of post on Friday. Life intervenes occassionally. But I'm back with a super-large link dump today. One piece of site news as well: the Elite 1250 tracking feature is being discarded, it just wasn't working.
Linky-link!
Tom Cruise is the story of the month, but it's nice to know that his insane act didn't work on everyone, for instance, Scarlett Johannson. Tom probably thought she was being glib.
What happened to Charlotte Church? She was once an innocent classical singer, now she's an insane alcoholic. Best quote: "The only time I drink is to get pissed and dance like a crazy woman."
And the follow-up: Charlotte gets into a fight with her ex-boyfriend. This is a must-click, simply for the wonderful picture of Charlotte.
Another follow-up, this one to last week's article on ESPN, from Variety: ESPN gets less sports-centered. Ugh.
Today's quasi-news item, as a spoof as a reaction to the eminent domain ruling: New York City Invokes Eminent Domain to Acquire New Jersey.
Bravo is bringing us the Battle of the Reality Network Stars, including TAR's Charla and Mirna, Joe Millionaire's Evan Marriott, Road Rules' Theo, and Real World's Coral, and of course, the Miz. This will be Mike's last appearance on something like this, as he has officially retired from RW/RR challenges.
And finally, tomorrow is the first annual Randy Moss Celebrity Fishing Contest. Sam Cassell, half of country music's superstars, the NHL's Brotens, and of course, Snoop Dogg will be in attendance. Best quotes: "Few know of Randy’s love for bass fishing and commitment to child related charities....Be advised, this event will provide the best celebrity watching experience the Midwest has ever seen."
See you Wednesday.
