Friday talk:

Typing this up as Trader Jim makes another bunch of moves. Keep watching Nationals Review, I may throw something up there later.

Since I don't have much else today, I'm going to do the Veronica Mars pitch. The pilot airs on Tuesday the 14th at 9 pm, followed by episode 6 on the 15th. After that, episodes 10-22 will air in the Wednesday timeslot (still 9 pm). It's not the ideal way to hook people (there's a lot of character development in episodes 2-5 and 6-9), but as my ex-roommate proved, watching the pilot, and then jumping in will be a bit confusing, but it's such an exciting, snarky, well-written show that you should give it a chance. Trust me on this one. If you can't make Wednesdays this summer, DVDs are coming in the fall, and a rental there can't hurt, can it?

Link of the day: (Hat tip: NYDN) Geek to Geek Dating Service. The latest in the dating niche sites. Poke around. I particularly love the top ten reasons why geeks make the best lovers, which includes, among others, this gem: "Their social skills are also not well developed enough to support an affair."
